Unveiling a Game-Changing Robotics System
Not all communications professionals can honestly say they rolled out one of the most advanced game changing technologies in medicine, but Kristin worked on a team that did. Building and executing this project was privilege not a job. iWalk (recently changed company name to BiOM) is a bionics company pioneering technology that uses robotics to replicate and replace muscle function. Founded in 2006 by world leading biomechantronics researcher, Dr. Hugh Herr, iWalk’s products for the first time normalized walking for lower limb amputees.
The goal of media campaign was to begin to create demand for the product by educating iWalk’s future customer-base about the world’s first product scientifically proven to normalize walking for amputees. This was achieved by creating a network of ‘iWalk Certified Bionic Centers’, identifying customer champions and their life changing stories, and delivering information about iWalk’s mission to industry leaders. Kristin led a team of colleagues in the building of a media campaign that secured local market stories and showcased iWalk on national and international platforms.
