KP Awarded Boston Main Streets 2016 'Volunteer of the Year'
As Winston Churchill said, “We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.” At KP Strategies, giving back and getting involved is not optional, it’s essential.
In June of 2016, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh awarded Kristin with the ‘Boston Main Streets Volunteer of the Year’ award for the work she has done for the South End’s Washington Gateway Main Street (WGMS) Organization. That same summer, after just two years of serving on the WGMS board, KP was elected board president and currently serves as the organization’s youngest board president.
Under her leadership, Washington Gateway Main Street has tripled its funds raised and is focused on launching new partnerships and programs aimed at keeping Washington Street a beautiful, clean, safe and vital, economic engine for the South End.
