Ever dreamed of flying like a bird? Well, KP Strategies client Le Laboratoire Cambridge made this dream come true for hundreds this past week with Birdly, a virtual reality flight simulator.
With everyone wanting their chance to experience Birdly, rather than a normal run-of-the-mill press conference (because when do we ever do “normal”?), we decided to invite the press and local social influencers to “Come Fly with Us!” Securing outlets from The Boston Globe to Associated Press, over 130 stories ran about Birdly. We even got ourselves into a bit of a Twitter tizzy, generating 27,900 Twitter Impressions in just five days!
This Birdly whirlwind just exemplifies one of the core KP Method principles: if you want someone to talk about your brand, whether it be the media or the public, you must create an experience that inspires them to do so. The everyday normal is boring; don’t be boring if you want to be big.
